ENVIROPASS^® polypropylene pass-through cabinets are manufactured with polypropylene, a thermoplastic polymer made by the chemical industry for use in a wide variety of cleanroom and laboratory enviroments. Polypropylene is unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids.  A laboratory is a facility that provides controlled conditions in which scientific research, experiments, and measurement may be performed.

If your operation is in need of a pass-through console that offers excellent chemical resistance, G2’s ENVIROPASS^® polypropylene pass-through is commonly applied as a chemical resistant pass-through. It is constructed of thick 1/2″ white polypropylene with/without installed PVC viewing windows.

Our polypropylene pass-through offers chemical resistance to a number of common acids, bases, organic substances, and solvents.

A cleanroom is an environment, typically used in manufacturing or scientific research, that has a low level of environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles and chemical vapors. More accurately, a cleanroom has a controlled level of contamination that is specified by the number of particles per cubic meter at a specified particle size. To give perspective, the ambient air outside in a typical urban environment contains 35,000,000 particles per cubic meter, 0.5 μm and larger in diameter, corresponding to an ISO 9 cleanroom.
